Come meet Stephanie Giddens, VTC founder and executive director, between 11 am-2 pm at the trunk show and hear all about the VTC story.
Located in Dallas, Vickery Trading Company operates a children's clothing company that employs and empowers refugee women living in the metroplex. VTC is a nonprofit job training program that teaches refugee women how to sew and work in a business environment, providing a fair wage for their time and the clothing they produce. They also provide educational programs, mentoring, counseling and job placement services.
Come meet Miss Thready Bear and her special friend, Andrew Jones, co-founder of Threadies, at the event
11 am-2 pm.
A world in turmoil hits children hardest. The key is comfort--for children, stuffed animals embody comfort. When you purchase a Thready teddy bear, its twin goes to a child refugee, along with tools vital to help them cope with trauma. Threadies teach children the value of sharing love, connecting them with another child across the world.
We’re proud that each and every Thready bear is handmade in the West Bank by at-risk women, providing them with valuable job training and their families with a sustainable income.
