Please join us in celebrating the amazing talent of artisans in Pakistan who are bettering their community through the traditional art of rug making.
For one weekend only in Dallas, we’ll be featuring fair trade rugs handmade by fairly paid Christian and Muslim adults working together with the artisan group "Bunyaad" in Pakistan (no child labor).
Ten Thousand Villages, a nonprofit, works closely with Bunyaad to ensure that the Fair Trade principles are upheld during every step of the rug-making process. Each year Ten Thousand Villages sponsors dozens of rug events all across the United States and Canada.
One weekend only in McKinney, select from hundreds of hand-knotted Oriental rugs in several different sizes, colors and designs!
Each rug purchase supports education, adult literacy, housing and more in Pakistan.
Sizes from 2’x3’ to 10’x14’ and Runners
Event located at Fair & Square Imports in North Dallas: 219 E. Louisiana St., McKinney, TX 75069
The 2015 Dallas Fair Trade Rug Event is February 4-7, 2016. Preview which rugs are here in McKinney online here: rugs.tenthousandvillages.com
