Fair Trade & Handmade in Downtown McKinney

Fair & Square is a fair trade shop in Downtown McKinney, Texas, working with artisan cooperatives and trusted Fair Trade partners in dozens of countries around the world. 

We're always bringing in new, one-of-a-kind pieces from artisans around the globe, so the shop never looks quite the same twice. Artists from Nepal make our collectible and colorful hand-beaded roll-on bracelets, cashmere, knit hats and gloves, and felted ornaments. Makers in Peru handcraft our beloved llama toys, in Vietnam our quilled cards, in Kenya our soapstone hearts and sculptures, and in Ghana our colorful Bolga baskets, and that's just a start!

Every purchase supports a maker's livelihood and helps keep a traditional craft alive. Each item has a story, and are honored to be the place in McKinney for you to find a gift you won't find anywhere else.

Our Story

Fair and Square has been a cherished part of downtown McKinney since Kate and Andrew Jones opened our doors in 2012. In Fall 2025, Kate passed the torch to Brittany Otwell and Ivey Reynolds—two longtime supporters who share a deep commitment to artisans worldwide and our McKinney community.

This has always been more than a store—it's a gathering place where global craft meets local community, and that mission remains as strong as ever. We are so grateful for your continued support!
